Hand Selected Spirits

Reposado BarrelWe made a special trip in March of 2011 to hand-select our very own barrel of Herradura Reposado. We'll have more information here when the barrel arrives in May, but here are some basic facts about what will make this tequila unique, and why we made the journey to select it: Every bottle of Double Barrel Reposado begins with 100% blue weber agave tequila and is rested in toasted oak barrels for 11 months. This tequila is then matured for an additional month in a new toasted oak barrel handmade specifically for this extra aging. This second barrel aging provides the tequila uncommon smoothness and complex flavor notes of cooked agave, dried fruits and sweet brown spice. Finally, each barrel of Double Barrel Reposado tequila is tasted, approved and authenticated by our Master Distiller, then hand-bottled at the estate. There will be approximately 240 bottles, and they will be distributed amongst four of our outlets. They may go fast!
